How to Get Rid of Winter Blues

I don't know about you, but every year without fail, the winter blues hit me hard.

Snow is rare here, so it seems like everyone is always ill-prepared for it. The roads become dangers from lack of salting, and we all basically have to sit cooped up in our houses. It really makes no sense considering I'm the biggest homebody I know. There's just something about not being able to leave the house that makes me frustrated.

It's not just the snow. Even the colder temperatures get me feeling down. I don't have the same motivation to get up in the morning for work, and I have to fight the urge to constantly lay around doing nothing. I've also been stuck feeling I just can't get warm enough regardless of the amount of layers I have on.

However, I didn't feel like braving Wal-Mart during between snowmageddons. I'm not a glutton for punishment. 

I've been a huge fan of Bath and Body Work's Stress Relief eucalyptus spearmint smoothing body scrub for years, and have been recently using the body cream in the same scent.

I was meeting a couple of people for lunch last week, and had a few minutes, so I swung into BBW where I saw the luxury bath and body wash in the eucalyptus spearmint scent. I asked a clerk the difference between the two. But before she could finish, I knew I was getting both. 

After lunch, I had to wait in line at the supermarket for a half hour because of shabby middle aged woman haggling with a cashier over the price of frozen broccoli florets. (Why???)

Cue relaxation.
