New Year (2014)

Happy New Year!

Micah and I have big plans for this year. By big plans, I mean we are going to try to organize our house. Though, neither one of us made an resolutions, we both have some things we would like to accomplish, and areas that we are going to work on.

As for myself, I would like to read through Simple Abundance, A Day Book of Comfort and Joy by Sarah Ban Breathnach. This book was given to me by a former coworker last year, and I have read bits and pieces, and so far I have really enjoyed it. The basis of the book is to take joy in the little things in life. There are small reading for each day of the year.

I would love to hear what you think about it, and if you're interested in reading along with me, the book can be purchased at the link above, or at any used book store for less than $5. HOWEVER, there are some things I would like to make you aware of since I have previously read some of this already. 1) This book is not centered around Christianity nor Christian beliefs. 2) Rather, the author is into "spirituality", and mentions this frequently. (I take these segments with a grain of salt.)Whew. Glad that's off my chest. :)

I also plan on drinking more coffee this year. This isn't so much a resolution as a prediction. We have been hitting the ground running around here trying to get the church expansion done, office work taken care of, etc.,etc.,etc. Our friend and adopted-into-the-family brother, Toby bought us some Dunkin' Donuts coffee yesterday. I am having a cup as I type this, and must say it so delicious.

I am also recovering from a cold, so I am wandering around the house trying not to explode into coughing fits that terrify the cats. Prayers are appreciated.

I hope you're having a tremendous first day of the year. Did you make any resolutions?

Stay classy, ladies. ;)
